Students will get a chance to show their love of reading and our school as they ask for pledges, then record how many minutes they spend reading from February 28 – March 9.
Need inspiration? Let a book take you on an adventure to a new place, experience a different culture, or learn about interesting
people. Try an interactive book, a book without words, or a graphic novel!
Time that students read alone, aloud to parents, caregivers, pets, stuffies, etc. and being read to all counts!
IMPORTANT DATES:
- Feb. 28 – March 9: Track daily reading minutes on your envelope or separate piece of paper. Get pledges and record them on your envelope. These can be a flat fee for participation OR a per-minute pledge.
- March 10-14: Reading log and donation collection week. Donations may be made online or with the envelopes sent home. Cash, check, and credit card (online only) all accepted. Pledge envelopes can be dropped off in the morning at school – volunteers will be standing outside the front and back entrances.
- March 17: Last day for pledge collection.
